The three drink mixtures mentioned here, are to drink daily for at least 5 days to get the best results.
I’m 49 years old and find it more difficult to lose the weight that I did when I was younger. I also find it easier to put weight on! The combination of the two don’t mix well!
It won’t be much longer before I’ll be putting on a bikini again for ourbour trips.
I tried these drinks and lost a few pounds. They even helped me look and feel less bloated.
Noom’s weight loss program keeps me on my toes. I read the lessons every day and get encouraging messages from my health coach. The community group is pretty awesome too. It’s always great sharing your stories with other people who have similar goals such as yourself.

Ingredients for the 3 drink mixtures;
- Fresh Parsley
- Ginger Root
- 1 bag of lemons
- 3 or 4 cucumbers
- Chia seeds
- Apple Cider Vinegar
- Mint leaves
- Stevia (optional)
- Filtered water
- 10 – 16 oz. of bottled water or a large diffuser bottle
Parsley is rich in chlorophyll, which improves detoxification and supports weight loss. Enzymes found in parsley break down food and release nutrients from proteins, fats, and carbohydrates that are consumed.
This helps the digestive system, making it easier to lose weight.
There have been many positive success stories from people who have mixed parsley and lemon juice, drinking it 1st thing in the morning. Some have claimed they had lost weight only a few short days after drinking it!
Parsley helps eliminate excess fluids that cause bloating and added weight. This “superfood” vegetable is very low in calories and contains many essential nutrients, such as vitamins A, B, C, and K along with minerals; iron, and potassium.
Why Ginger Root?
Ginger is known for its ability to cleanse the body by stimulating digestion, blood circulation, and sweating. When I say “cleanse,” I mean that it gets rid of the build-up of waste and toxins in the colon, liver, and other organs.
There are many health benefits from ginger including;
- Powerful antioxidant
- Aids indigestion
- Controls blood sugar levels
- Reduces Cholesterol & heart disease
- Aid in Weight Loss
This list goes on, but those are some key benefits.
Drinking ginger water with lemon adds even more benefits.
Let’s talk about lemons next.
Lemons are high in vitamin C and contain fiber, and to truly be able to detox the body including the gastrointestinal tract you have to have fiber. The vitamin C from lemons aids the immune system.
Lemon water, by itself, helps to flush out toxins and cleanse the liver. When other ingredients such as ginger, parsley, etc. are added ,the benefits multiply.
Cucumbers are very high in water content and low in calories. They flush toxins and cleanse your gut, helping the digestive system. Cucumbers are filled with healthy digestive enzymes and adding a few slices to your drinking water is a great way to kick start your day.
There are many benefits from cucumbers including;
- Weight Loss
- Lowers blood pressure
- Reduces the risk of certain cancers
- Skin health
- Bone health
- Helps with hydration
Why Chia Seeds?
Chia seeds are an excellent source of omega-3 fatty acids, rich in antioxidants, and provide fiber, iron, and calcium. They are full of important nutrients! It is a known superfood for good reason!
Most importantly, great for weight loss due to its high protein and fiber content. Fiber fills you up! I drink a glass of water with chia seeds, lemon juice, and ginger first thing in the morning and it feels like I’ve eaten breakfast. I’m full for over an hour without eating anything!
The high content of protein has a lot to do with it! Chia seeds are high in quality protein, much higher than most plant foods. Of course, protein can drastically reduce the appetite and cravings.
Why Mint Leaves?
Mint is excellent to manage blood sugar levels and treat skin conditions. It’s also known for boosting metabolism which aids in weight loss.
From what I’ve read and researched, mint may be a key ingredient for stimulating the digestive enzymes that absorb nutrients from food and consume fat, while then turning it into usable energy! Thus, helping with weight loss.
There are tons of health benefits derived from mint leaves;
- Relieves IBS
- Soothe skin rashes
- Helps with nausea
- Weight loss
- Boost immune system
- Eases pain
The list keeps going!
Why Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV)?
Apple Cider Vinegar with “Mother” has many health benefits, including weight loss!
ACV is a popular home remedy and been used for centuries for health benefits. It is known for its ability to help with weight loss, reducing cholesterol, lowering blood sugar levels, and improving the symptoms of diabetes.
It is important to buy apple cider vinegar with “Mother”. Mother, consists of strands of proteins, enzymes, and friendly bacteria that you see floating at the bottom of the bottle.
Be sure to shake the bottle before using, because the murky product at the bottom is where all the goodness is!
Check out this video I found. Pretty interesting!
Last but not least!
Water is something we all know our bodies have to have, but did you know it also aids in weight loss? Water is calorie-free, helps you burn calories, and suppresses your appetite when consumed before meals.
Try drinking a glass of water a few minutes before eating and find yourself getting full much sooner.
This has even been studied and proven by middle-aged and older adults.
“One study, middle-aged overweight and obese participants who drank water before each meal lost 44% more weight, when compared to a group that did not drink more water (taken from this link).”
#1 – 3 Cups of this each day will surprise you!
- Chia Seeds
- Grated Ginger
- Lemon Zest
(It is best to start this at night so you can drink your first glass in the morning.)
- Grab you three glasses from the cabinet and add about 8 ounces of water to each one.
- Add 1 tablespoon of chia seeds to each glass and stir.
- Place the three glasses in the fridge.
- Grate some ginger root, (about 2 or 3 inches of a ginger root), and set it to the side.
- Squeeze one lemon, set to the side.
- Grate the same lemon for zest, set to the side.
- Right before drinking this drink, add equal amounts of lemon juice, ginger, and zest to each glass.
- Stir and drink (no need to strain; the water softens the chia seeds).
#2 – Lose Belly Fat Fast with Parsley
Servings = 4
This drink is best to drink on an empty stomach every day for five days. Out of the three drinks, I find this one the hardest to drink. It’s not the best tasting and the parsley settles to the bottom quickly.
Since the parsley is the main ingredient, its important to drink it all. So, if there’s still some in the bottom of your glass just add a little more water and drink it on down.
How to prepare:
- In a food processor place 4 bunches (60 grams each) of parsley and blend it.
- Squeeze 4 lemons and add the juice in with the blended parsley.
- Add 4 cups of water in the food processor, and blend for a few more seconds.
- Pour 8 ounces of the mixture into a glass when you’re ready to drink it.
- Leave the remaining mixture in the blender, since it will need to be re-blended for the next glass.
You should start to see results in 2 or 3 days. After 5 days, take a break from it and start back on it after 10 days.
HOW easy is that? 🙂
(Hint: If this is something you plan to do very often, you may want to consider growing your own parsley. It’ll be fresher and less expensive.)
Daily Detox – Flat Tummy Cucumber Water
(Using a diffuser bottle or 16 ounces of bottled water, discarding about 1 ounce of water from each bottle).
- Filtered water in a diffuser bottle or use 16 oz. disposable bottles of water to make several at once
- Sliced or Grated Ginger
- Cucumber slices (leave the skin on)
- Lemon, sliced
- Mint leaves
- Secret ingredient: 1 teaspoon ACV (Apple Cider Vinegar w/ Mother)
Prepare this mixture the night before and start drinking it upon rising the next morning on an empty stomach, saving a glass to drink right before bedtime.
This has been a very popular detox for a long time and with good reason. This detox burns belly fat like crazy! It’s pretty tasty too!
How to Prepare:
I like to use my diffuser bottle for this detox because it has a strainer that keeps everything in the bottle when I drink it. If you plan to make it for several days, I recommend using the 16 oz. bottles of water.
- Take 10 bottles of water and pour out about 1 ounce from each one, leaving room for the other ingredients.
- Add sliced or grated ginger to each bottle.
- Add sliced lemons to each bottle.
- Add sliced cucumbers to each bottle.
- Add a few mint leaves to each bottle. (hint; for a stronger mint taste, crush up the leaves first).
- Add 1 teaspoon of ACV (apple cider vinegar with “Mother”), to each glass.
- Place the caps back on the bottles and shake them up.
- Store them in the refrigerator until ready to drink.
- Drink two bottles of the detox per day; in the morning and at night on an empty stomach.
(Hint: Buying mint leaves can get pretty expensive! From what I’ve read, mint is very easy to grow yourself. This is on my list of things to do in the near future. I’ll let you know how it goes.
I grow my own cucumbers and they are super easy. There’s nothing better than eating a fresh homegrown cucumber right from the garden.)
