Health, Allergies & CholesterolAllergies

It is a known fact that apple cider vinegar can help improve ones overall health. Don’t make the same mistake that I did for years. When people talked about the benefits of ACV, I decided to start drinking it as a supplement on a daily basis. I didn’t get the promised effects I had expected because I wasn’t taking the “Correct” apple cider vinegar. It has to be the Raw Unfiltered Organic ACV that contains “Mother”. That was a very important piece of information that I had missed in the beginning.

It was once only an age-old home remedy in helping with health issues that some believed and some didn’t. There have been many test and studies done on this miracle solution and it isn’t a myth any longer. It’s been proven to ease health ailments and restore the body in many ways.

ACV helps to relieve people with bad sinus problems by reducing the levels of mucus decreasing nasal irritation. This can relieve people who have environmental allergies or even those who suffer from pet or food allergies.

I’m not a doctor or a scientist, but after doing some thorough research, ACV is also known to help those with high cholesterol. ACV contains a substance called Pectin. Pectin is a fiber and found in apples and in apple cider vinegar. There have been studies showing that “The BAD cholesterol” known as LDL attaches itself to the pectin which then eliminates the cholesterol.

UTI, Arthritis, Inflammation & Joint Pain

Joint Pain

Studies have shown that one of the benefits of drinking apple cider vinegar can prevent urinary tract infections. ACV creates a more acidic environment in the urinary tract which helps decrease bacterial growth.

Knowing this bit of information alone, encouraged me to start taking apple cider vinegar. I’m one of those females that have had entirely too many UTI infections”!

Do you exercise now? Did you used to exercise? What stopped you?Exercise

Joint pain stopped kept me from exercising.

The discovery of ACV changed my life in so many ways.

There are tons of over the counter drugs, creams, and pain patches that may ease arthritis, inflammation and joint pain.

There are also tons of prescription medicines out there for the same symptoms, but watch out for all of those side effects listed for each one.

I’ve tried many things over the years and nothing ever worked for me.

Apple cider vinegar is a very inexpensive and a natural remedy to try.

I started taking ACV as a supplement for weight loss along with exercise and soon realized the pain in my joints was nearly gone and exercise became much easier.

Not only has it been an age-long remedy, studies have now also shown that just by adding one teaspoon of apple cider vinegar to a 4 oz glass of water (adding honey if you prefer) 2 or 3 times a day, can greatly reduce pain and increase mobility after 1-2 weeks.

I’m not going into all the details about how it works, that’s for the scientist and doctors to explain, I just know that it works for me. 🙂

Another little tip I discovered…

As an ointment try mixing 2 TBSP of apple cider vinegar and 1 TBSP coconut oil together and rub it into those painful areas. This really works nicely for me.

Constipation, Bloating & Weight Loss

Taking two tablespoons of ACV mixed in warm water 2 or 3 times daily before meals can help those with issues of constipation.

The acetic acid found in ACV supports microbial gut health. This will also reduce bloating and aid in weight loss management.

Aids in preventing Memory loss & Chronic diseases

I don’t know about you, but the older I get the worse my memory is.

In 2013 Dr. David Jockers exposed the biggest threats to brain health, some of which were related to stress, inflammation, toxic foods, and negative or unhealthy lifestyles.

Gluten, soy, high blood sugar, fluoride, toxic fats, poor sleeping habits and over-all stress are leading factors in causing those threats to the brain.

Those toxins not only affect our memory, but also can lead to serious chronic diseases such as Alzheimer’s. One of the leading causes of Alzheimer’s diseases is from blood sugar imbalances.Memory

ACV contains healthy acids and enzymes that lower glucose (blood sugar) levels.

Unstable blood sugar can have a negative impact on your health, energy, weight gain, and lead to serious chronic inflammatory diseases.

Taking two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar before going to bed can decrease your blood sugar level by up to 6%!

Better Sleep, Enhanced mood, and Happiness

Lets face the facts, if we get better sleep we tend to be in better moods and a lot happier. Drinking a warm cup of water with apple cider vinegar and honey before bedtime can help you sleep better.

Better Sex Life

While its helping you sleep it’s possible to also help men with erectile dysfunction.

Erectile Dysfunction is a common health condition men often face.  ACV can help improve those conditions because it relieves a lot of the associated symptoms such as;

  • heart disease
  • stress and depression
  • diabetes (high blood sugar levels)
  • over weight
  • chronic pain and diseases

One Last Thought

If just by adding this one natural substance can improve health, reduce allergy symptoms, lower cholesterol, improve memory, lessen UTI’s, relieve arthritis & joint pain, help with constipation & bloating, aid in preventing chronic diseases, enhance moods, better sleep quality, and healthier sex life, why aren’t you taking it?

Drinking apple cider vinegar benefits go beyond what I’ve discussed in this article.  Other benefits include:

Anti-Aging, diarrhea, ulcers, acid re-flux, gallbladder health, hypertension, sore throat, bad breath, foot odor, healthier hair, whiter teeth, skin problems, varicose veins, teeth whitening, foot odor, the list keeps going.

I live in North Carolina and I recently graduated in May 2017, from Davidson County Community College with a degree in Network and Cyber Security. I love working on websites and doing research which brings me here. I didn’t know much about fitness and everything involved in it to be fit. I soon realized that being in my 40’s and staying in shape is going to take a lot more work and support. That’s when I decided to build my website around my personal problem areas, with hopes that I will not only get rid of mine, but help others as well.

  1. Hello Devara,

I have been meaning to try apple cider vinegar for a long time. The irony is that I use it on my cat’s every day! I dilute it with water and wipe it on their fur and skin. It helps with ear infections (never get liquid inside a cat’s ear) and upper respiratory infections. My boy gets the upper respiratory and my girl gets the ear infections so they both get apple cider vinegar now! It really, really works! I just dip a paper towel in the 50/50 mixture and wipe it all around their head, chest and front legs. They lick it off of course and get some in their mouths that way. More of it is absorbed through their skin.

I look forward to trying it for myself too!
    Thanks,
    Jessica

    1. I’m glad you found my article helpful. I haven’t used ACV personally for anything topical yet, but you led me to do a little more search about it. I wouldn’t have thought to use it for an animals fur! WOW! That’s good information.

Thanks for reading and hope you return for my upcoming posts.

    1. Thanks so much for reading my article. I hope you do try adding apple cider vinegar to your diet. It definitely makes me feel better, with more energy and less pain in my joints.
      Take care,

  2. Hi Devara, I drink apple cider vinegar (with the mother) occasionally, but I never stopped to really examine the benefits.
Now that I have read you post I am going to up my usage. I will now drink some everyday.
    Thanks for sharing.

    1. Yes, it’s not the best tasting stuff to drink every day, but very much worth it. I’m experimenting on some recipes to include it in where maybe it will taste better. In the future, I will add it as a new page to my site.
Thanks for reading and hope you return for my future posts,
      Devara

  3. My husband and I love apple cider vinegar! It is a staple in our house! I particularly like making cold raspberry leaf tea with it. I steep 1/2 cup of tea leaves in 8 cups of water, then add ACV and stevia to taste. Quite good. I didn’t know about the coconut oil/ACV combination for soothing joints. Great tip!

  4. Janna,
Thanks for reading my post. I’m so happy that you and your husband have already included it in your daily diet. I’ve never tried it in any kind of tea. I love hot and cold teas and will have to experiment with adding some ACV to it. I appreciate the recipe. Where do you get raspberry tea leafs?
    Thanks,
    Devara

  5. Wonderful post, I use Apple Cider Vinegar for many things. When I start to feel like I’m coming down with a cold I make what I call my “Get Well Tonic” I make my favorite tea usually lemon ginseng then add honey, ACV, turmeric, lemon juice, ginger and cayenne pepper.

I have also used it in my smoothies and and have also used as a natural flea repellent for my dog.

Thank you for sharing your nowledge

    1. Hello Pam,
Thanks for your comment. I’m glad you enjoyed reading my post. I’ve been very curious about the ACV mixtures I’ve read about that has turmeric in it. I’ve never tried it, but heard turmeric is also very good for you. I’ll have to try your “Get Well Tonic” recipe sometime, although I feel like just by taking ACV every day keeps me from getting sick. I probably shouldn’t say it because I don’t want to jinx myself, but I haven’t been sick in over a year now.
I just recently started experimenting by adding ACV to different drinks/smoothies trying to find something to cover up the vinegar taste. So far I found that I taste it the least when mixed in V-8 juice -Low sodium (tomato).
      Thanks for sharing!
