Over the last several weeks, we’ve explored habit change, how to make sustainable changes and how to overcome the hurdles and pitfalls that can creep up when making those changes. This week we will be focusing on celebrating the changes we’re making. By looking back at our journey, whether it’s been a week, a month or a year, acknowledging our progress and examining our success and areas of improvement allows us to continue to grow and change.
If you’ve been keeping a food journal, take some time periodically to read back through it and make note of your benchmarks for change and identify where you can make further improvements. Honor and acknowledge the effort you’ve put into these changes and celebrate you!
If journaling isn’t your jam, take a moment to center yourself and be in your body, notice the changes you feel in yourself. You may notice you feel more energized, feeling lighter, breathing easier, thinking more clearly. Note the differences from when you first began your journey. Celebrate your body and the things it’s capable of!

Treat yourself to a luxurious experience, a massage, an extra long bath, new bed sheets or a cute new outfit! Pick one thing to reward and congratulate yourself with each month. It doesn’t have to break the bank but make it something that feels like a gift to you!
