Matcha Green Tea Powder
Matcha Green Tea acts as a detoxifier, fat-burner, and can enhance your health in many ways. In my opinion, the best green tea powder to use is by Jade Leaf. It is an Authentic Japanese Matcha Green Tea Powder that is 100% organic, gluten free, and vegan.
Super Food's in a Drink!
Imagine the results from drinking your superfoods! That's right, there are many superfoods that can be included in drinks, smoothies, detox mixtures and lattes. Here are only a few that I often include in mine:
- Ginger – Ginger is a very powerful spice and widely used throughout history. It is known to aid in digestion, provide energy, suppress the appetite, aid in weight loss, and it's an anti-inflammatory. Ginger is used most commonly in teas and detox drinks.
- Cayenne Pepper – Cayenne pepper is known for boosting the metabolism, reducing hunger, help with pain when used as a cream, and supports a healthy digestive system. There are tons of other health benefits by including cayenne pepper in your diet that's not mentioned here.
- Garlic – Garlic can have a fat-burning effect. It is grown all around the world, similar to an onion. Garlic has many medicinal properties and known to help aid in sickness such as fever, cough, headaches, stomach ache, sinus congestion, gout, joint pain, and many others. It is highly nutritious with hardly any calories. Some nutrition facts include vitamin C, vitamin B6 and manganese.
- Turmeric – Turmeric comes from a plant found in India, known as Curcuma Longa. It is commonly used in curry and yellow mustard as well as added in smoothies and taken as a supplement. Turmeric has many health benefits, but a few that interest me the most is that it helps to reduce the growth of fat cells and assist in detoxing the body.
- Coconut Oil – Organic Coconut Oil is a good fat that including medium-chain fatty acids, Omega 3 fatty acids, and Mono unsaturated fats. It is easy to digest, not stored as fat, helps boost the immune system, improves digestion, and supports energy and endurance.
- Lemon – Lemons are packed with vitamin C and will keep your skin healthier, aid in digestion, and can help you lose weight. Lemon water is very refreshing and can help keep you hydrated all day long. Other nutrition facts include potassium, magnesium, copper, and some protein.
- Cinnamon – Cinnamon is considered a super food and known to have many benefits. It may lower blood sugar in people with diabetes, lower cholesterol and may even treat yeast infections in some people. There have been studies that have found cinnamon reduces inflammation, fights bacteria, and can have antioxidant effects.
Garlic Cloves Are Great For You
Garlic is one of the world's healthiest foods. From including garlic in your daily diet you can decrease the risk of cardiovascular disease, high blood pressure, and other varying diseases. Garlic is an excellent source of manganese and vitamin B6, vitamin C and copper.
It is best to store garlic in a breathable net and not refrigerated. Garlic can be added in oils for flavoring, minced and added to stir fry, chili, or Italian dishes. It is also known for being added to hot teas and some detox mixtures.
The aroma of roasted garlic is pretty awesome! I love cooking with it and recently discovered its potential for aiding in weight loss and keeping sickness at bay. You can find a great Spicy Matcha Tea Latte recipe in the next section of this page.

Hi Divara! I love this! My doctor recommended green tea to me when I was struggling with losing weight, I now brew it in the morning and add it to the goodness that comes out of my juicer. I’m obsessed with it, I have so much energy and it really does burn fat faster. Thank you so much for sharing! Definitely have to try this recipe with Matcha.
Hello Sarah,
I’ve never used a juicer before, but I’ve been kind of curious about them. I may have to try it sometime. Green Tea is great for giving you plenty of energy and the Matcha Green Tea gives you that boost without the jitters. If you try this recipe, please let me know what you think about it.

Hi Devara!
Solid advice. Thank you for sharing this. 🙂
Personally, I’m not a big fan of the taste of green tea. Well, frankly, I can’t stand it. What can you say about the taste of this, after blending all the ingredients?
Hello Michael,
There are many people who do not like the taste of Matcha Green Tea. That is one of the great things about this recipe mixture. The taste of Matcha Green Tea is not near as bold because the lemon and ginger seems to cover it up. This is not a real “Good” tasting drink, but it’ll get you there! Full of energy and alert! Makes exercise much easier and you’ll feel less burned out.
Thanks for visiting and leaving feedback. I have more articles on the way…

I really need to look into coconut oil. I take pretty much everything else, in various forms, but have always been kind of dubious about coconut oil for some long forgotten reason! Thanks for the push!
Hello Jon,
Thanks for your feedback. I understand your concern about coconut oil completely. I had the same doubts until I started following Dr. Axe and learning more about it. Please take a look at my article about Coconut Oil. I think it will help you understand why it’s widely talked about. It’s pretty awesome stuff!
I appreciate your visit and hope to see you return.

Hello Sarah,
Thanks for your feedback. If you can handle a little spice then I’m sure you will love this mixture and how it will make you feel. I can’t say it enough! You just have to try it so that you understand the power behind it. It’s a great mixture and I drink it often. The more I drink it the better I like it, even the twangy taste from the lemon juice is getting better.
I appreciate your visit. Please visit again soon.

I’ve known about the seemingly endless list of benefits of green tea, however I did not know that having it a certain way can help even more, thanks for the recipe, will be sure to try it out!
Hello Nick,

It’s going to come in use with summer approaching and wanting to be as lean as possible! Thanks again!
Matcha Green Tea is really great for you no matter how you decide to drink it. Following my recipe here would be a jump-start to your day, but some people may have trouble with the hot spiciness of it. Please share with me how you decide to drink it and let me know your thoughts about it.
Thanks for your return visit!
Best of luck for that lean body this summer!
Devara
I love matcha and I love this idea. I’ve been using turmeric as an anti-inflammatory for awhile now but I didn’t realize it would also help keep me in shape! I’m pretty stoked to get this going! Can you recommend a recipe that maybe isn’t as many items or do I really need to make sure to include everything? Thanks!
Hello Christian,
I’m glad to know that you love Matcha tea. I realize this recipe calls for several ingredients and may keep some people from trying it. It seems time consuming, but really it’s not.
I can recommend “Dragons Breath“; with only a few ingredients including lemons, ginger, and cayenne pepper. I also have an article about matcha green tea powder with several recipes you may be interested in.
I hope this is helpful for you. Please feel free to ask questions if you have any more. Thanks for visiting.
Best of health,
Devara
Thank you much for this article Devara. By the way great abs! I’m on a weight loss journey for health improvement but i wouldn’t mind loosing my belly fat, especially since I just had my second child. Also Is this green tea powder safe for nursing moms to drink? because I used to drink the apple cider vinegar before i became pregnant but was told to stop consuming it until the baby was born. Last but not least, would you share your belly secret and video to get abs like yours? I want to have mine look like that before the summer.
Thank you
Hello Rachel,
Thanks for joining me here on my site. I’ll have to do some research on green tea powder and nursing moms. That’s a very good question. I’ll see what I can find out, even if I have to contact the supplier.. I’ll let you know soon.
As for my abs.. thanks for the compliment! I do plank exercises daily and use an ab roller to do my sit-ups. That’s pretty much it! Check out my article on Bikini Body Workouts with Best Plank Exercises.
Thanks! I’ll respond to your other question soon.
Best wishes,
Devara
Hello again Rachel,
So I did some research and found that it is safe for a woman who is breastfeeding to drink matcha green tea, although it is recommended to limit it to one cup per day. Matcha green tea contains a lot more caffeine than just green tea. I hope this answers your question.
Also, I mentioned in the last comment that I use an ab roller… I really wasn’t sure of the name but it’s similar to this link from eBay. Goplus Ab Fitness Crunch Abdominal Exercise Workout Machine Glider Roller Pushup. Also, while doing my planks I use push up stand bars. This helps keep my wrist straight and causes me less pain. These are two very important tools I use in my fitness room to help with building my abs up.
I hope this answers all of your questions. Please let me know if I can help in any other way.
Thanks so much!
Best of luck,
Devara
This is so informative. I love green tea and I drink it very often for the health benefits. But I have never had Matcha. I now know how I can prepare it with some of my favorite spices. No doubt, I will be getting my Matcha soon.
Hello Carol,
Thanks for your feedback! Matcha Green Tea is really good with honey or Truvia (substitute lite brown sugar). There are many ways to drink it hot or cold. If you give it a try, please let me know what you think and how you fixed yours. I would love to hear back from you.
Thanks for visiting! I look forward to hear back from you soon.
Best of health,
